Sir,

I read this article word for word. But I have to admit that I didn't read the paragraphs consecutively. I started with the first 3 paragraphs, I scrolled down to find out where the 12 tips are, I scrolled back up again, read some more paragraphs, and finally, read all the 12 tips in reverse order.

Let me share something: I never got attracted to those 'for dummies' books. Somehow I refused to believe or could not get myself to accept that I am a dummy -vain of me, really- who will have to test my 'dumminess' by buying a book for dummies. Of course, the real reason is that I have a very good (wireless) access to the Internet in my university that allows me to do all the research/surfing I want. So why spend my limited income for what in reality is a book for pros, as you correctly said?

Kindly keep my name in your contacts list. I'll send my Dad (who is 81 and is computer literate!) a copy of your article so he too can learn from you.

Have a fruitful 2008, Sir.

[...] Why am I not writing instead A Writer’s Guide For Dummies? Because there are too many of them already. The non-dummy reason I will not write a dummies’ book for writers is that you can’t write if you’re a dummy. A dummy is thick-headed, dull-witted, dense, unintelligent, boring.
